During this course, Rapid Progression will take you to moving water where you’ll safely learn how to navigate different currents and small rapids

The location of this specific class is on the Weber River, about a 1 hour drive from the Salt Lake City and 40 mins from the Park City area.

The cost of this course is $245 and includes all the necessary gear (kayak, paddle, skirt, pfd, helmet, splash top). Space is limited and classes fill up fast. Call us at 435-890-4927 to secure your spot.

During this river class our instructors will help each paddler learn the following:

• Basic Whitewater Safety

• River Anatomy - Learning how to read whitewater and different river features

• T-rescues, swimming, and self-rescue

• Strokes - Building on what participants learn in our pool class:

  • Forward

  • Back/Reverse (Stopping)

  • Draw

  • Sculling Draw

  • Forward/Reverse Sweep

  • Stern Draw

• Maneuvers - Learning how to use the current and different river features as you paddle downstream:

  • Ferries

  • Eddy Turns

  • Peel Outs

• Scouting rapids

• Paddling through Class I-II whitewater
