This is one Rapid Progression’s newest courses, taking you from flatwater to moving water all in the same day. It is designed to teach participants basic paddle strokes and technique on flatwater (including the roll) during the first half of the day, and then moving to a nearby river for the remainder of the day.
The location of this specific class is in southern Idaho, about a 2 hour drive from the Salt Lake City area and a 45 minute drive from Logan. The Riverdale Resort Hot Springs is where we spend the first part of the day, learning the fundamentals in a warm, contained environment. When we are ready to move to the river, we drive less than 10 miles from the hot springs to the Oneida Narrows section of the Bear River.
The cost of this course is $200 and includes all-day access to the hot springs (you can soak in the evening if you’d like to go back after the river), in addition to all the necessary gear (kayak, paddle, skirt, pfd, helmet, splash top). Space is limited and classes fill up fast. Call us at 435-890-4927 to secure your spot.
